Go get yourself some good (not freeware) Spyware Software. Yesterday AM we were attacked with a nasty trojan/spyware combo. It appears that trojans are piggybacking off of spyware and then breeding. We had a good response with webroot's spy sweeper, but the paticular strain that we got just was first detected Jan 7 2006 this one is called SpywareStrike... to remove it we had to turn to anyone who looked like they knew what they were doing... we found noahdfear his freeware scrubbed the nasty fucker out on the damn machine... well I need to start thinking about work... more to come upon my return.

Actually, Laurie, it turns out that the best spyware cleaners ARE FREE. Often ones you pay for come with their own spyware payload. Spybot Search n Destroy, SpywareBlaster, Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE are the ones I use all the time. Yes, you can get upgraded versions for cost, but the basic cleaning functionality is always free.
