As I was our putting in applications I stopped at Utica Square with my QT Salad to sit under a tree, eat, and listen to NPR's Talk of the Nation. On this day they were discussing Six-Word Memoirs. 'Not Quite What I Was Planning' a non fiction book inspired by Ernest Hemingway's essay: "For Sale: baby shoes, never worn."
As I was sitting there munch away I realized how much I liked this idea. Sum you, your life, your thoughts, your actions, your beliefs up in six word. For some it is comical for others it is serious. The example given on NPR was as follows, "Little bit Lucy, tempered by Ethel." What would mine be? It occupied my mind thru out the day. Many ideas came to mind, most were rejected. I finally settled on one that I feel represents me.
"Shaped By life, moderated by love."
Whats yours?
