You know how in cartoons there is a light bulb above the head and when a revelation hits them it lights up. Well our house has been full of new light bulbs, both literally and figuratively.

First lets start with the real light bulbs. Grant recently discovered the reveal light bulbs put out by GE, I had been slowly phasing out our light bulbs and replacing them, well he went whole hog and replaced them all. Now our house is much better lit.

Now for the figurative:

Our friend Jess recently turned up preggers, and as a result Grant decided to make an earnest effort to quit smoking. He is now on the patch, to paraphrase his thoughts he would rather quit now than try to quit if I get knocked up. Makes sense, it will also save us money if he succeeds. About the patch... for those of you who don't know here is a bit of helpful advise. If you are on the patch go off it at night or is makes sleep very difficult both for you and the person you share the bed with.

Second light was my health, more specific my weight, I have gained nearly 15lbs since the ship came home. Fat and happy did not come from thin air let me tell you! And yesterday my jeans did not like my body, time to go back on the diet. The health factor was further reinforced today when I went to the Dr for my yearly checkup and he put me on Pre-Natal Vitiams. Now mind you I am NOT prego, if i were to become prego tho my current vitamin level would likely cause birth defects. I am low in both iron and calcium, and a few others I am sure. I came out of the pharmacy with a bag that had a handle! So, now I am on the health kick as well as the work out kick... no more fat and happy (after I get home from Taco Bueno, Braums, Knotty Pine, Rons, Webers, and QT) Like I said a host of light bulbs.

As for tonight's festivities, I will be attending a Dominion Derby Girls meeting and hoping to get a ref'ing position, name suggestions are always welcome!
