So we went to DC

At long last I had the chance to sit in Einstein's lap! This has been a dream of mine for years. Ever since I started reading Robert Fulghum (by the way if you haven't read his books you have no idea what you are missing). This was where my dream of sitting in Einstein's lap came from. Apparently when he is in DC he takes a few minutes to go visit Mr. Einstein, me I just liked the idea of a less stuffy monument and the humor of a sprawled out Nobel Prize winner got my attention. Thus my obsession with Einstein was born. How can you not love a guy who takes him self as is and doesn't try to dress it up?

Also you will notice the WWII memorial, it was just right for what it is. Each star in the field of stars represents 10,000 lives lost. The monument is comprised of 4,000 stars. It fits that generation with the respect they deserve and the humility they project. (We were there at 7AM I highly recommend this time to see the monuments you can enjoy them with few other people there. From there we went to the Holocaust Museum it was so many things: breathtaking, unbiased, honest, respectful, and thought provoking. If you haven't been, go.

Then we trekked our way to the Navy memorial. Personally I felt it was a inadequate memorial when you compare it to other services in the metro area. But just as I was about to really say how I felt about it I spotted Teaism! It was awesome! We had ginger scones, cucumber ginger salad, and ginger limeade!

Then back on our hike to the Spy museum. Once again photos not allowed. Afterward we met up with some friends to hit Rocket Bar where they do serve Linenkugles Sunset Wheat Beer on Tap which has become a house hold favorite! After all that beer we were getting hungry so we headed over to Matchbox I highly reccomend the 3.6.9 burgers.. plate licking good! After that it was time to hop the metro back. Not bad for one day huh?
