Welcome the second Great Depression

Thursday at 2:30 in the afternoon it happened.

We had a company wide meeting at noon, hours would be cut - 4 hours a week to be precise.

I returned to my office happy to have a job, and began to do my daily work. At 2:30 I was called to the office and informed that due to budget cuts I would be one of the 'lucky ones' who will be looking for a new job. Nothing I did, or did not do. Just simply I was not one of the folks who would be staying.

Since that time I have filled out 14 job applications in 12 hours. Re-done my resume and am continually trying to file for unemployment.

I don't want to jinx anything but I turning over every rock I can find and am determined that this will not last long.

Currently my only gainful employment is at the skating rink, and after Fridays joy of cleaning up human poo smeared into every possible item - it just is not all that glamorous and will not cover the bills.

Tell me what kind of job you're looking for and I'll see what I can do for you. I just got done attending Job classes and I have some resources they gave me. Any way I can help.
